Touareg, created by journalist Ana Paula Padrão, is an agency specialized in developing content, documentaries and series for television. Touareg's expertise is content production by a team of seasoned, award-winning journalists. From 2007 to 2009, the company produced a 45-minute weekly news program for SBT, one of Brazil’s largest TV networks. Among other awards, Touareg received the 29th Human Rights Vladimir Herzog Prize (Honor Mention) and the 18th European Travel Commission Award for the Best TV Program on Europe in 2007.

Sightless Justice

The main character of our documentary is Marcos
Mariano, an innocent man who spent 19 years in prison,
after being mistaken for a criminal whose name was
almost identical to his. He lost his freedom, his family and
his sight in prison. Twelve years after being set free, he
finally won part of the US$ 3 million compensation owed
by the State. This is the story of a man in pursuit of his lost
dignity and of whatever redemption he can get.
