It´s been updated with HD cameras and finalization and has received prizes in the Third National Eco Cine Festival and Itaquara´s Latin American Festival for the documentary Sofrosine.

Santo Amaro, a Brazilian city, and most of it’s inhabitants,
suffer lead poisoning after the arrival of a Swiss-French
company of lead processing in the sixties. The company
lacked many necessary security measures in its facilities
and their victims have been struggling for 45 years.

The documentary will tell the story of the Brazilian
musician Roberto Chaves – since his departure from
Santo Amaro until the creation of the “Washing of the
Madeleine Church”, in Paris. A short historic overview of
this tradition from the state of Bahia will be brought up, as
well as its socialcultural importance.
